Your trip. Your choice.

Privacy and analytics choices.

The ferry guide works with optional analytics switched off.

Optional Google Analytics

When analytics is configured, we ask before loading Google Analytics 4. Choose “Allow analytics” to help us understand which parts of the guide people use, whether searches produce a plan, and which sponsorship options interest visitors. “No thanks” is just as easy, and keeps Google Analytics off.

If you allow it, Google receives analytics cookie identifiers, browser and device information, and network information such as your IP address when requests reach its servers. These measurements are not anonymous. Google may process information outside your country. See Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) and how Google uses information from partner sites (opens in a new tab).

Our analytics events use broad page names and actions: searching for a ferry, making a plan, choosing an optional return, changing a map mode, or showing interest in a sponsorship package. We do not include trip dates, terminal choices, sailing identifiers, precise device location, enquiry text, business names, email addresses, website links, or the query and fragment parts of URLs in these events. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled.

Change your mind any time

Use “Analytics choice” in the footer to allow analytics or turn it off. Your choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days. Allowing analytics enables Google Analytics cookies with a maximum lifetime of 180 days. Clearing browser storage, changing browser or using another device may show the choice again.

Turning analytics off stops future collection from this guide, removes its Google Analytics cookies from this browser and reloads the page to unload the tag. It does not delete information Google already received. The guide also honors Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals by keeping analytics off. Embedded ferry cards and the offline page do not run analytics. If there is no “Analytics choice” control, analytics is not available on that page or in that browsing context.

Using the guide

Appearance and analytics preferences are saved locally in your browser. Trip links include the ferry choices needed to reopen a plan; people you share a link with can see those choices. Sponsor preview links can include the business details you entered to carry them into the next page. Copying an enquiry prepares text for you to send; it does not submit a message.

Nearby-terminal and blue-dot features ask for device-location permission when you choose them. Precise device location is not sent to Google Analytics. Maps, weather, walking routes and optional terminal imagery use the providers identified in those features. Requests to the site and those providers disclose network information needed to deliver their responses. Ordinary hosting and security processing is separate from optional Google Analytics.
